    Same problem as everyone else on todays list of complaints. All of the other services work on my ROKU except Netflix. I called them 6-7 times today but just get a message that they are receiving higher than normal call volume and would the caller please call back later.My search says to login to www.netflix.com/tvhelp but can't seem to do that either. I am now wondering if their whole system is down for some reason. Their service is usually pretty good until today. I note that earlier, I couldn't even log into the netflix website but I can do so now. I can't change anything or look at video's but at least that is some progress. Go to your Router IP address from your computer and give a "new" IP address to your device.Make sure you assign a "permanent" IP address, that way; next time you have the same problem, you'll know where to attack… good luck! and send a reply if this works for you.

    I found the solution for all of these threads with the "could not connect to netflix" error.1- go to your computer with the internet connection/router connected to it2-go to start, input: cmd3-type ipconfig/flushdns4-type ipconfig5-make note of IP address, subnet mask, gateway #'s6-go to your tv with netflix7-open settings8-go to network settings9-ensure the ip, subnet mask, gateway #'s are the same as your note from ipconfig on your computer after flushing the DNS.This worked for me on 5/27/12. After a year of no streaming. Windows 7 on computer, phillips blu-ray with wireless connection.

    Your current connectivity problem is related to Silver Light. Even when I try to log on, my entire top line, browser and toolbar flash very fast, and I mean very fast. I was told by you folks to call Microsoft which I did and it cost me $99.00 to pay them to fix my problem which was their problem in the first place. As the tech was working on my connection, he also experienced the fast flashing back and forth. After close to an hour, the tech got it "working". That was 7/25. By the end of the next day, the problem returned, but intermittently. When I turned the computer on this morning, 7/28, I could not even connect to the internet at all. In fact, I could not even get an IP address for my machine. Thankfully I have a friend who is an unbelievable technician. He got my machine back to working, but he told me that all of the internal controls were turned "off". It appears, that the longer you use Silverlight, the worse it will get and it will ultimately stop your machine from even working. This issue is a Microsoft issue. Unfortunately, Netflix and your customers are being screwed by this issue. I am going to try Hulo or Pandor to see if them have the same issues. Even at 8 bucks a month, it is a waste of money when it does not work. I honestly enjoy Netflix, but unless or until someone gets a handle on the Silverlight problem, you are going to start losing customers left and right. To anyone who has to call Microsoft because their machines got messed up while using Netflix, before you agree to spend a dime with them, ask the technician if there is a problem with Silverlight by Netflix users. If they say no, they're lying. If they say yes, ask them why you should pay them $99.00 to fix a problem that they created and is clearly caused by a Microsoft program. It is shame, but I will stop using Netflix unless or until they can guarantee a fully functional and working system. Finally, everything was fine prior to July 19th. Between July 19th and July 25th, there were 3 firmware "adjustments" or "fixes" issued by Microsoft for Silverlight. All the money they make and they want us to pay them to fix their problem and after we do, it still is not fixed.
